Help keep Little Valley a “Right to farm” area! No zoning change!
The city is being asked to change zoning on the 20 acres along Bentley at the bottom of 3770 S. and 3860 S. from A-1 (1-acre agricultural lots like those on the 3770 S.) and OS (open space = nothing to be built on it) to RE-20 lots (½ acre residential lots) and the land north of it to 1/4 acre residential lots.
This will affect the safety of all residents with added traffic congestion, impact finances and lifestyle of long-time residents by requiring septic changes in addition to losing the character of the area, and go against the city’s designation of Little Valley as a right to farm area.
It is NOT the city’s responsibility to rezone land in order to make it economical to develop. In other words, the city is not responsible to change zoning so a developer can profit financially.
· It IS the responsibility of our city government to protect all citizens and plan responsibly.
· It IS the responsibility of planning commission to plan for compatibility and to prevent obvious conflict.
· The zoning change should NOT come before the needs of the current community- those living and breathing individuals whose lives will be dramatically affected.

We, the citizens, residents, and tax payers of the Meadow Valley Farms area and Little Valley Community, hereby strongly oppose any zoning change from A-1 (agricultural) and OS (Open Space) to RE-20 (Residential Estate 20,000 sf minimum lot size).
WE SUPPORT THE MAINTAINING OF THIS LAND FOR AGRICULTURAL AND OPEN SPACE PURPOSES AS IT HAS BEEN ZONED AND HISTORICALLY INTENDED.
