The owners at 105 watch hill rd are requesting a variance to the bylaw Section 6.48, By –law 74-53,(see petition) that will allow them to be able to park a 35 foot RV mobile home on their property.
Presently, the bylaw in Kings Cross Estates does not allow for this.
To the attention of the Chairperson of the Committee:
We are opposed to the variance being requested by the owners of 105 Watch hill rd, from Section 6.48, By –law 74-53, which states that: “in an Estate Residential Zone, the owner or occupant of any lot shall not store any boat, tourist trailer, mobile home, truck camper, or other similar vehicle in any yard except that the two such vehicles may be stored in any side or rear yard provided that in the case of a tourist trailer, mobile home, truck camper or similar vehicle, said vehicle shall not exceed 7.5 metres (24.5 feet) and provided such vehicle is not used for human habitation”.
The owner in this instance is requesting to increase the maximum length of the tourist trailer/mobile home/similar vehicle to be stored in the rear side yard from 7.4 metres (24.5 feet) to 10.7 metres (35 feet).
We oppose this application as the By-law in place has served us well.
