Some residents of the City of Plymouth wish to Ban the ownership of Pitbulls within the city limits. One family is being particularly targeted because they own a pitbull.
No damage or incident has taken place with the dog, however the neighbors are asking for a City wide ban based on fear.
Many residents consider this to be an intrusion of government into their personal lives.
Therefore, this is a Constitutional question that should be heard in a court of law and not on a street corner in Plymouth.
We, the undersigned, call on the City of Plymouth to oppose any breed specific legislation that is brought before this City Government.
We oppose the banning of dog breeds, and consider it a right to own a legal, well behaved pet.
