We only have 1 bank in Warlingham, where we can conduct businesses and personal bank transactions, such as deposit cheques, seek advice on financial matters, and deposit cash.
There are no other banks within the vicinity of the village where the population demographics are changing with increasing senior citizen population who are less comfortable using e banking.
The population of senior citizens will grow as there is active development of retirement homes in the village. It is proposed by the NATWEST local CEO responsible for the Warlingham branch to close this branch on 28th June 2017. It would be a great blow to the economy of the local businesses, and convenience of banking for the local residents.
We the undersigned citizens of Warlingham oppose the closure of this NATWEST branch.
