Silver Meadows Subdivision, established in August, 2006, is an upscale community of custom homes that has drawn highly professional residents and their families. Phase One, comprised of 28 homes, saw growth stop when the real estate and economy slowed just 3 years later.
Within the past couple of years building began in Phase Two bring more residents and traffic into the neighborhood. In addition to more residents construction traffic increased along with people looking for homes within the development.
This once small, sleepy subdivision was now bustling with activity day and night and even on the weekends as builders work to complete homes for new residents.
We, the undersigned, express our wishes to NOT have speed humps/bumps installed in Silver Meadows at this time. Construction is still ongoing and much of the speeding is caused by the trade workers.
There are other methods that can and need to be exhausted first such as having a patrol car in the neighborhood at random times using radar, setting up a 'Your Speed' sign, and requesting the developer meet with each builder and document the resident's concerns about their trade workers speeding throughout the neighborhood.
