Cindy G. Clifton was a middle school teacher when these charges were brought againest her. There was at least 12 boys involved and she was violating them in her class room and also had them over to her house. She was not supposed to have any contact with them while she was awaiting trial, however she was seen asking trying to talk to them on several occasions.
Ms. Clifton was only sentenced to 3 year in prison and probation for 8 years I believe after that. The judge said he took into consideration that she had no prior record and she comes from a good family. EXCUSE ME!! What does that have to do with it? She was found guilty and plead guilty so where is the justice here? She will get out and do it again to another child. Please I urge you help us take a stand and at least keep her in prison her entire sentence.
Her parole hearing is set for this Wed. Feb. 20,2013. I know its short notice but if we all pull together we can make a difference.
We the undersigned affirm our deep concern for criminal justice and public safety. Specifically we petition the TN. parole board to flatly deny any, and all parole attempts of sexual offender Cindy G Clifton.
We wish to keep this felon in prison for the maximum time allowable and ask that it be taken into consideration that federal charges be brought forth on this sexual offender.
