Their has been several occasion's on duke energy's property that have resulted in injury or and conflict with hunter's not acting professionally and has and will have results of animals, people and children getting hurt badly. Last act resulted in owner trying to help her dog that got caught in a beaver trap so her dog would not loose her foot. The trap had multitude violations. In trying to protect her pet she received over 50 deep dog bites and a broken wrist in two spots with nerve damage. This was the third incident that has happened with the hunters being aggressive about our dogs. Families, pets and their families use this area for walking, fishing, golf cart riding etc on a regular basis.
We the people are asking Duke Energy to ban hunting and trapping on their access road/trails adjacent to Castlewood development in Robbinsville, NC,28771.
Hunter's and trapper's have not been doing these services safely and a child, adult, ,pet or stray animal can be injured or killed. A woman walking her dog by herself had her dog get caught in a trap and trying to help the dog the woman sustained serious injury from her pet being scared. There are soo many areas in Robbinsville for people to hunt and trap without using this fairly small area for these acts when it is heavily used for recreation from surrounding developments. Signs need to go up with a penalty listed if the hunters and trapper's don't comply.
Duke need to send out updated info on the new ruling to their Robbinsville client's.
