Support New Heritage Month (NHM)

Peace be upon you, to whom it may concern: In honor of Black History Month, we are offering a proposal, to extend Black History Month which is in the Month of February into the Month of March.

We would like to change the title of “Black History Month” which was set up as a commemoration of so call black achievements to “New Heritage Month” (NHM).

There is a psychology to this approach of using the month of March as a spring board to move so called black Americans forward by focusing on the energy of this word. Our country should provide a healthy environment for all the people. Understanding that pictures are words and words make people we believe we can change the state of a whole nation by changing America’s language environment.

Our message of concern is what would happen if people would sit in churches throughout the world (for centuries) with the image of an African American man as savior of the world before them?

What would this do to the mind of the world’s children? What would happen to the world’s children put under a figure of a particular race presented, pitiable and in pain “the Savior of all men”?

Qur’an, Surah 3: verse-64:

“Say, Oh people of the book! Come to common terms as between us and you: that we worship none but G-d, that we associate no partner with Him, that we erect not from among ourselves lords and patrons other than G-d. If then they turn back, say ye bear witness that we (at less) are Muslims (bowing to God’s Will).”

Civilized nations should want that their religions be also civilized.

False worship is the worst form of oppression. We are no g-ds. We are only men, “mortals from the mortals, He (Allah) created.” (Qur’an)

Changing the terminology of “Black History Month” won’t solve the whole problem of race in our country but it would send us on the course of building a healthier society; members for positive change.

We want this to be an organized effort, so let’s note a date for our beginning; proposing that March 8th, 2010 become the birth for this mission. It has been motioned on March 8, 2010 to change the name “Black History Month” to “New Heritage Month” which will cover past and present accomplishments.

We welcome all faiths because we've recognized that it will take a big effort as everybody acting in one unit (community).
