The derogatory comments against African Americans and other minorities made by the L.A. Clippers owner, Donald Sterling, are outrageous and disrespectful not only to the Clippers coaching staff and players but also to other team owners and affiliates of the NBA.
His actions and words are far from redeemed by a simple apology and at this point he has compromised his own team's ability to focus on the game.
Until this issue is somehow resolved, how can the players and/or coaching staff be held accountable to a contract that has been morally breached?
We, the undersigned, call on the NBA and/or the remaining 29 owners other than Donald Sterling, to agree to postpone the NBA playoffs until a reasonable resolution is made in the controversy surrounding Donald Sterling.
