We are the only European country that does not have an official museum of the horse, yet we call ourselves a country of horse lovers.
We have thousands of years of equestrian history, of equestrian sports, agriculture, military, social culture, poetry, storytelling, art connected to the horse.
The horse ploughed our fields, died in our wars, provided us with horse power and carried us both for sport and pleasure and yet there is no official home for research to be carried out and artefacts to be conserved along with records and memorabilia.
We need a museum of the horse.
We the undersigned support the establishment of an official museum of the horse in the UK.
