Legally Blonde is coming to Melbourne in May. We have just heard that the cheapest tickets sold will be the student rush tickets.
This Petition is going to be sent to Mariners theatre to request that they bring in a lottery system like Sydney. So you turn up 2 and half hours before the show, and leave your name at the box office, and you return two hours before the show, and if your name is called out, you could get the maxium of two tickets for $30 each.
This is what we want.
One of the Legally Blonde fans have just found out that Legally Blonde will NOT have a lottery system instead they are bringing in a student rush. So only students can get cheap tickets.
On behalf of the musical theatre supporters, this needs to be changed.
In the theatre industry in Melbourne we have had a lottery ticket system for Wicked and Moonshadow. There's also been last minute cheap tickets also been offered for Love Never Dies. In sydney Legally Blonde had a lottery system. Ie. you turn up 2 and half hours before the show, and leave your name at the box office, and you return two hours before the show, and if your name is called out, you could get the maxium of two tickets for $30 each. What about Melbourne?
Melbourne needs a lottery system for Legially Blodne. Students are not the only ones that want to see this amazing show. What about those who are on a lower income that are not students? If theatre shows want a full house then the way to go is have a lottery system that everyone can try.
