Make Drug Screening of Scioto County School Teachers and Staff Mandatory

Please sign this petition if you believe that all teachers and staff working within the schools of Scioto County should be drug tested.

I recently learned that Ohio schools are not required to drug test their teachers, and after speaking with someone from almost every school in Scioto County, I have learned that only a few schools in the area claim to drug test their teachers!

As a parent of small children I expect our schools to make sure they only have people working in their facilities that are good role models for our kids.

As Scioto County makes national news for its drug problem, I feel it is important that we ensure that problem is not in our schools! We get drug tested to work on the ambulance, to work in a hospital, work at Krogers, etc…Why is it not required for the people we are required to send our kids to everyday, for an education, to be tested? It is our job as parents to keep our children safe, and while at school it is the responsibility of the teachers and staff.

These are the people our kids look up to, the ones who care for them several hours every week...It is important our schools only employee those teachers and staff who influence positive behaviors and lead by example!
