Be honest. Who actually likes public bathrooms? They can be really gross, whether because of cleanliness or smell. They are often overcrowded and both uncomfortable and inconvenient to use. If there is one way at least to make public bathrooms better and less irritating to use, it is by extending the stalls all the way down to the floor and eliminating the gaps between the door and the partitions. By doing so, people would find using bathrooms much less uneasy. There would be much less anxiety and discomfort. No one would be able to see into stalls while others are going: no more feeling like others are watching you. Doors still have locks on them, and "occupied/unoccupied" signs can be easily installed as well so that there is no conceivable reason to need to see anyone's feet under the door. ****Disclaimer: Petition made solely for a persuasive speech for communications class****

We, the undersigned, insist that public bathrooms be remodeled/built with stalls that extend all the way down to the floor and that contain no gaps between the door and partitions so that whoever uses the stall will be able to go about his/her business comfortably and, most importantly, privately.
