Long Island (Mineola) goes Green

It has been proven time and time again that our emission of fossil fuels into our atmosphere is severely diminishing our environment. We have abused our limited natural resources, and now we are running out.

Most cities use oil for energy. But we have a very limited amount of oil left in the world, and everyone wants it. This is why we went to war to steal oil from other Middle Eastern Countries. Regardless of whether or not we take their oil, it will still not last us very long. Even if we use natural gas, it could still only be used as a temporary substitute for oil because it is more expensive and also releases pollutants into the atmosphere.

We are a globe fighting for resources that in the end are only damaging our planet. There are so many other natural and infinite forms of energy we can use, wind, water, and the sun. The best part is, because they are natural and we have an unlimited amount, there is almost no negative outcome that comes from switching our energy source.

If we don't make a drastic change now, our future generations will not have enough resources.
