On October 5, 2015, Joanne the assistant to Joseph Harrington, CEO of Lodi Memorial Hospital was contacted regarding the employees at the West Campus facility using Vine Street as their parking lot. It was explained to her how difficult it was to see oncoming traffic when attempting to pull out from Cologne Court and Interlaken Drive onto Vine Street. She took the information and would report this to the parking lot personnel at the hospital. He returned my call and that was as far as it went.

Employees continue to use Vine Street a whole year later. The City of Lodi was contacted and a representative came out to look at the situation. She explained drivers could inch their way into the bike lane to view oncoming traffic. This was not a satisfactory solution to residents. I have nearly collided with oncoming traffic while attempting to peer over and around the cars parked on the south side of Vine Street.

On multiple occasions at different times of the day I have walked down Alder Place to the northern most parking lot of your facility and have found an empty parking lot. My question is, why don't your employees utilize the hospital's facility and leave Vine Street free of parked cars during business hours Monday through Friday.

Gardners are unable to clean up leaves and other street debris in the gutter and residents must then spend their evening hours to assure litter and leaves are not filling our sewer.

Leave Vine Street free of parked cars during business hours Monday through Friday.
