Blended families often come with pets which lead to an excess of pets per city limitations, it is wrong to have to give up our beloved family members, pick and decide which one will have to be abandoned and/or euthanized to become in accordance with a law. Cities must provide exceptions and be flexible.
We have a blended family which consists of 4 dogs ages 7,8,9 and 10, as well as 2 cats. We have no children, they are our kids, Limit per household is 2 "animals". One is blind, diabetic and sleeps 20 hours a day, one has an enlarged heart and on blood pressure medication and the two others have already exceeded half of their life expectancy. How is one to decide which ones are no longer convenient? The city of Repentigny seems to not care, they want their laws abided by, period.
Exceptions are in order.
I ask that you sign this petition in favor of the rights of all animals to keep their forever homes as was promised by them by their families.
