The Victorian government currently have a ban on UFC coming and performing a show in Melbourne saying that the sport is equivalent to "human cock fighting".
UFC is a mixed martial arts sport where to martial arts experts will fight. Boxing and Tae Kwon-do are aloud in the Olympics and this is a sport with similar attributes.
The fighters in the UFC are trained athletes who know exactly what they are doing. It's not a bunch of people thrown in to fight one another.
The Sydney show sold out within hours which would do the same in Melbourne and if anyone else there noticed but there were no fights in the crowd or outside the arena. It would do wonders for tourism in Melbourne.
