Jonaf Ortojan died at Amihan, Dahican, Mati, Davao Oriental while attempting to save the life of a another person. There was no help to be found around the resort.
Despite being well known as a tourism destination and having notorious waves and being part of open sea, there is a huge hole in the safety of tourists.
No standby ambulance
No lifeguards
No First aid desks
This is a call to the local government of Mati City to ensure the safety of the people going to Amihan, Dahican as part of their responsibility.
