Daylight saving time change has been used for centuries. Most recently in America.
It was used during WWI to conserve fuel needed for the war effort. It continued to persist - during WWII and President Franklin instituted year round day light saving. This lasted until 1945. Thereafter confusion existed as states chose to participate or not.
In 1974 Pres. Nixon implemented Daylight Saving Time Act. This was approved & amended by Congress. Even though it occurs only two times a year it is a disruption.
Continual changing of time, back and forward, two times a year is an archaic system that doesn't apply to our times.
One solution is to simply keep daylight saving time all year.
We, the undersigned, appeal to the governing body of the state of Texas & the United States to leave daylight saving time as the norm.
