This petition has been started in response to the statement made by Bungsu @ Aziz Jaafar who claimed that, a program is needed to 'meMelayukan' or 'Malayanize' the Muslim indigenous tribes in Sabah and Sarawak as a way of overcoming 'Malay Leadership Crisis'.
This statement was made on the 28 September 2013 in a in a symposium titled Facing Foreign Agenda (MEGA), jointly organised by Muslim non-government organisations (NGOs) Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (ISMA) and Pembina .

We, the undersigned, call on reasonable Malaysians to respect the identities of the indigenous people in Sabah and Sarawak.
The federal government through various legal coercions has taken away our mining rights and deprived our economy from oil revenue, our export & import rights through Cabotage Policy, our lands and now we are told to strip away our histories and cultures to overcome the 'Malay Leadership crisis'.
Please do not make us Malay just because Malay leaders have failed.
