In 2007, Rainfall Films worked with IGN Entertainment to produce a ficticious teaser trailer of a film based on the hit videogame franchise The Legend of Zelda. The trailer launched on April 1st 2008 as an elaborate April Fools. Within the first 24 hours, it was watched over 2.5 million times, featured on G4tv, the front page of MySpace, and became the 4th most Googled term in the world.
Being enormous fans of the game, the cast & crew took it as a challenge to create a faithful, exciting vision of the Zelda universe in live action.
We, the undersigned, petition to have the "Legend of Zelda" movie trailer made by rainfall films and broadcasted by www.ign.com made into a true feature length movie.
We believe that through the passion of it's fans, the many signatures on this petition and the effort put forward to collect signatures from said zelda fans, we can put this petition forward to have this movie completed.
Zelda has been a massively popular subject since it's release in 1987. I believe with a movie based on the game, it will grow even larger. Thank you.
