We live in a world where products such as Alcohol and Cigarettes are constantly advertised in positive and colourful ways showing everyone having a great time when really the alcohol is destroying they lower half of our bodies and cigarettes destroys the top half.
Therefore if these destructive and harmful substances that have no medical benefit and in fact kill people gradually are legal then marijuana which has proven medical health benefits and is also a means for the country to gain more revenue and that numerous countries deem harmless and have legalized why not South Africa why are we always behind the times lets get ahead LEGALIZE WEED NOW.
There are various opportunities for economic growth with the legalization of Marijuana such as: international trade ventures, job creation, new form of sin tax revenue and this will alleviate police stress as majority of police are preoccupied by stoners the miss out on real important crimes.
We the undersigned, call on the South African Government to Legalize marijuana for personal and medical use. This will bring about positive changes in our country as well as create a new reason for overseas tourist to visit and spend money in our country.
There will be no need for police to constantly concern themselves with smokers and allow them to focus on actual crime.
