Lack of Notice in changing our School Uniform Policy

As you all know we arrived back to school on the 5th September to be greeted with a letter and a book bag. As Mrs Scott decided to change the school uniform and enforce a school book bag. As most of the parents had already purchased their children's uniforms which includes a school bag then told that they can not long use this bag.
I am challenge this as any policy that changes in any school needs to be giving fashionable and suitable notice to the parents, which has not happened here. So how many other policy have changed within the school without giving parents notice? What's to say they don't change the whole uniform in a day!
We, the undersigned, call on St Vincent's School Governors to give parents sensible fashion with suitable notice to change any school policy and not expect less than a day's notice, i.e a letter 3.30 pm to change for 9 am the following morning.
