I am petitioning to keep the Comfort Woman Statue in Glendale, CA. The statue should stand tall in public to truly comfort the 200,000 Korean women whose human rights were violated.

Also, the abuser, the Japanese government, has not sincerely apologized, but blamed the victims for their placements. As citizens of US, we should uphold the human rights and the symbols it represents and despise those who tried to cover themselves up and blame the victims.

Japanese government has been very adamant about not doing anything wrong when it comes to the comfort women issue.

In spite of all the testimony of the women who had to endure the the humiliating and unbearable abuse of their human rights, the Japanese government failed to formally apologize. Instead they blamed the victims, the helpless women.

Let the statue of the comfort women stay there to truly comfort all those women who were killed, died and suffered by inhuman treatment by some people who don't know any better. Most of the 200,000 Korean comfort women died or committed Suicide. However their death should not silence the suffering and the violation of their human rights.

I petition to keep the comfort woman statue in Glendale, CA.
