For far too long hospitals and their doctors have got away with covering up on wrong medication, hospital deaths and injuries. In a lot of cases further damage is done to patients to mask or cover up injuries already suffered by wrong medication or accidents. How many more patients have to suffer or die before there is change. Patients have a right to proper medical care.

We all know that human error can occur in all fields of life but what is unacceptable is the way hospitals and doctors continually cover up and deny wrongdoing. HSE and Health Departments have ignored this suffering of the innocence for far too long and will continue to do so unless people speak out. Doctors deny whilst patients die.

I ask people to please sign this petition to bring about a duty of candour in a law called "Robbies Law" here in Ireland, UK and internationally.

Thank you.

We, the undersigned, call on the Irish Government to make an amendment to the Health & Social Care Act to include the creation of a statutory "duty of candour" with patients when things go wrong in healthcare and cause harm.

This would be called "Robbie's Law"(see AvMA UK).

Let us all come together for openness and transparency in the HSE.
