Jon Bon Jovi: Acknowledge unauthorised use of Skid Row name

In the late 1980's Jon Bon Jovi claimed to have been given permission by the late Gary Moore to use the "Skid Row" name for the band he was managing at the time, featuring vocalist Sebastian Bach.

This is a falsehood, because even though he was a member during their most successful period, Gary Moore never owned the Skid Row name, Gary Moore had instead told Jon Bon Jovi to contact Skid Row founder and leader Brush Shiels to ask permission for use of the name, Jon Bon Jovi has still to this day never contacted Brush Shiels.

Skid Row USA have been trading under a different band's identity for over 25 years. The original Skid Row was founded in 1967 in Dublin, Ireland. The original Skid Row had released records on a major label and toured in the USA in the early 1970's, and is still active to this present day.
