Hello, we are a group from Community House Middle School in Charlotte, NC. We are competing in “First Lego League” and our mission is to help save the bee population. As you can see from all these news headlines above, the bee population is declining. Our solution is to plant more flowers and to make bee hives for bees.

Another solution is that we can promote to use natural pesticides, such as neem tree oil. We want to create August 28th as a “Bee Awareness Day” so we can raise awareness to save the bee population from declining even more. We picked August 28th because that is the day the Zika Virus Spray killed millions of bees.

We are creating a petition to observe “Bee Awareness Day”. The more people that we get to sign this petition we will be a step closer to save the bee population. We would like to send this petition to the federal government. We want you to be a partner in making a big difference in a positive manner.
