I have recently been contacted buy a domestic violence helpline that caters to the LGBTQ Community Broken Rainbow and I personally feel the title Broken Rainbow is offensive and so do many other people I know.
I understand the organisation is there to support and I appreciate that but why do we need separate helplines based on sexuality in 2016 and why does it have to be called Broken Rainbow. As a gay man I find the title to be offensive, belittling and to me it sounds like a joke.
I was recently really offend by the name of a domestic violence helpline that deals with same sex domestic violence called Broken Rainbow. I find the name of the organisation, to be offensive, belittling and inappropriate. I felt as a gay man myself in need of support that the title was a joke and I am asking for any person of any sexual preference who agrees that the title is inappropriate to sign below in hopes to get the name changed.
We, the undersigned, call on the LGBTQ domestic violence helpline Broken Rainbow to find a more appropriate title for there service.
