Several years ago, the residents of Whispering Ponds requested that Dakota Ave in Cumberland Trails be closed into our community.
The community is residential for senior citizens and has a 20 mph posted speed limit.
This 20 mph speed limit is not being observed by many motorists that travel Flamingo Way and Pelican Way!
The speeding motorists are not only residents of Cumberland Trails but also may be guest of both communities as well as some residents of Whispering Ponds!
We, the undersigned, request that the City of Franklin IN install three (3) speed bumps in Whispering Ponds Community in order to limit motorists to the posted speed limit of 20 mph!
We also ask that two (2) speed bumps include a pedestrian crosswalk on Flamingo Way! The speed bump on Pelican Way may not include a crosswalk!
The proposed bumps will not create a problem for those motorists moving at 20 mph.
