Allow access to Hazeldean Virgin Active Club before 05h00 during weekdays

Virgin Active Hazeldean used to open most week days a few minutes before the official opening time of 05h00. This was one of the reasons I moved my membership from the Watermeyer to the Hazeldean club.

The employees responsible for opening the club in the mornings at Hazeldean open most days a few minutes before the official opening time and was also very friendly and I was really grateful for that and I became a custom to it. I personally benefited from this situation because I am working in Bronkhorstspruit and have to be at work at 07h00. So 5 or 10 minutes earlier in the Gym in the morning mean the world to me and make a huge difference in my schedule, the traffic etc.

Maybe it does not affect everyone but you never know when your own circumstances might change which can affect you in future. I am passionate about training and it became part of my everyday life and unfortunately I can only train early in the morning due to my circumstances. Also many of my fellow members was very happy and we knew we could not complain if the club opened exactly at 05h00 when it was not possible for them to open earlier because of the official opening time that is 05h00 but since the incident that took place the end of October 2013 when the club opened 38 minutes after the official opening time on one Sunday morning at about 06h38 and the members complaint about it which obviously were addressed with their employees everything changed.

Lately the employees are not at the desk in front until almost exactly on the official opening time. We also have to stand in a queue now which makes us to enter the club sometimes a few minutes after the official opening time and if you are on a tight schedule like me every second count. I don’t know if it is just me but I do feel some tension between the members and some of the employees opening in the morning due to all of this. Some of the employees attitude has also changed due to this. I think this will be in the best interest for the club & members to resolve this so we can have a good relationship & environment to train in.

I am proud to be a member of the Hazeldean club and hope it can be resolve in such a manner that both the members & employees will be satisfied and that it can be like in the past.
