House Bill 241. if passed, would increase the age from 16 to 18 for statutory rape if a form of authority was involved. Also to increase the penalty for the special trust position of authority to Class D to Class A misdemeanour.
A Class A misdemeanour reaults in a fine of $4,000 and confined in jail for least one year. This bill was unable to be passed last year, but with your help we can help pass House Bill 241 to become a law.
