The Hillcrest Community Center is home to many outstanding programs. The Pre-School, West Milford Older Adult Services, seasonal youth activities, the West Milford Players, The Association for Special Children and Families, P.R.I.D.E. and C.A.S.A. are only a select few.

Run by the Community Services and Recreation Department, it is their mission to meet the needs and desires of the citizens of West Milford Township by developing, implementing and maintaining quality programs, services, events and facilities, which are cost effective, creative and responsive to citizen input.

The Pre-School has been educating the young children of our township for over 25 years. This is a small, family oriented school that promotes not only the highest education available, but also a family friendly atmosphere for our children and their parents. Our children spend their days with devoted and loving teachers, who have collectively dedicated over 50 years to educating our young children. Our teachers deserve job security and our children deserve the best that we can provide for them.

Older Adult Services meets the needs for West Milford's older citizens. Arts & Crafts, Cards & Bingo, Mall Trips, the Driver Safety Program and Nutrition Site Lunches are only a few of the many programs and activities offered year round.

Activities for children are held seasonally and encompass a wide variety of interests. The youth of West Milford can enrich their lives with classes focusing on creative arts, cooking, music, karate, science, theater and more.

P.R.I.D.E. is a modified daytime activity program for adults with developmental disabilities. This year round program addresses independent living and leisure experience along with survival math, reading and computer skills. Community awareness is a large part of the program as well as a laundry business and a luncheon service.

The tax paying citizens of West Milford, along with others who support these amazing programs have banded together to let the Township of West Milford know that we will not allow this to happen to our Community Center. Please sign this petition to keep the Hillcrest Community Center open. The citizens of West Milford deserve the opportunity to enrich their days with activities, which promote education and socialization. All of this is found in one central location… the Hillcrest Community Center.
