Its time for KHSAA to require Face masks for Softball Pitchers, 1st and 3rd base. Too many girls are getting injured from line drive hits back at players that are only 30 to 40 feet away from the batter.
There is simply no time to react to these hard hit softballs coming off of bats that that are made for explosive hits. Its time for the KHSAA to become Proactive and change some of their By Laws/Rules before a girl gets killed from a line drive hit to her face.
We (Parents, Coaches and/or Players) call for The KHSAA to enact better Safety Rules for High School and Middle School Softball Players by requiring face masks be worn by Pitchers, 1st and 3rd base.
