HELP Support our Veterans ! ! !

This Petition is to Support Veterans!
This petition is in regards to the
Home for Veterans located on Monroe Ave. in Grand Rapids.
The property (old V.A. clinic) located on the Coit Side of the property is in the Process Of being sold to a Private ( Adult care center )who is NOT going to use this building for Veterans! !
This property has been used for
Veterans' use since the 1800's and
Has a Deed restriction that the property be used for Veterans !!!
When I attended a meeting I asked
How this private company can use
This building for Non Veteran ' use.
I was informed that if they have
6 Veterans in their program then that would fit the criteria of Veterans' use . That is WRONG, the building SHOULD be used for ALL 300 of the Veterans!!!The Veterans at the Home
And staff have suggested that this
Building be used for the family of
The residents to be able to stay for when they're sick / End of life .
Like a Ronald McDonald house.
Other suggestions were a VCS EXCHANGE where Veterans could
Purchase items tax free (discounted).
Veterans at the facility get Very little money so this would mean ALOT to them also would open the exchange to ALL honorably discharged Veterans . Facilities in Detroit and Battle creek have an exchange !!
The last suggestion from Veterans
Is that there is a HUGE NEED for
The building to be used as a
V.A. sub clinic !!!
Many Veterans are having a
Difficult time getting to the other
Clinic .The Veterans at the Home
Would ALSO be Very Grateful
To have the clinic there for Thier
Medical NEEDS to be BETTER met !!
These suggestions would be a
HUGE BENEFIT for All Veterans! !!!
DEMAND THAT THIS BUILDING
BE USED FOR THE BENEFIT OF 100% VETERANS !!!!!!
KEEP this building for 100% Veterans' use!!
