HELP RASP

We aim to bring justice for all lone parents who don't get the help and support both finically and physically from the other parent.

We believe that if the parents name is on a child's birth certificate whether it be the mother or father of the child/children that there should be a law enforced to ensure both parents of the child/children legally have to take responsibility of their child/children both physically and finically.

RASP also strongly believes that any lone parent with the child/children from the age of 5 and above should not be made to have to "sign on" along with people who haven't got children and who are more freely available to work full time. Lone parents have many restrictions to when they are enable to work. May this be child care costs, when the child/children aren't at school such as holidays and weekends, and also hours available to work during school hours. There are also factors such as when/if the child/children become ill.

Not all employers are sympathetic or considerate to lone parents needs. All of the above contributes to making the lone parents career path harder to succeed which then leaves the lone parent no other option than to rely on benefit help to support and care for their child/children. Some people choose not to work however we at RASP believe lone parents don't get the opportunity.

This is why we strongly believe that the other parent who isn't full carer of the child/children should be made to take more responsibility finically to enable both parents the fair opportunity to excel in a career of their choice. Now that's how we feel and after doing a small local survey we have realised many other of you lone parents feel the same way, so we at RASP aim to start a petition to gain as many followers both on Facebook ( https://facebook.com/helprasp ) and Twitter ( https://twitter.com/helprasp ) to get recognition to take this to Downing Street.

We hope many people both lone parents or not understand the stress, worry, and finical pressures of the lone parents situation and that you will help us get justice.
