My mother moved into her home 52 years ago. She brought us up in this house, our family home. My parents didn't buy their own home as my Dad didn't believe in the Right to Buy scheme.
My mother is now 91 and has Dementia and unfortunately had to move into a care home. I have been caring for my mother for 4 year's, then two years ago my son and his partner, along with their son moved in to help with Mums care as it was no longer safe for her to be left alone. My mum suffered a series of falls, one of which meant she broke the neck of her femur.
Now she had gone into the home and the council want my son and his family out. They have two little boys and the house is a 3 bedroom. But one room is a tiny box room. They also want another baby at some stage. We also want to take Mum back to get home for visits and overnight stays. I know their is a housing shortage but why move out a lovely family who pay their rent, both work and who's children are settled in the local nursery. It us important for my Mum to still have access to the memories she shared in that house. I am worried where my son and his family will and up. They have kept the home lovely and get on well with the neighbour's. Please support us and sign my petition. Thank you
