The object of this petition is to make Telford Council and the company known as Greenway based on Rock Road Ketley Shropshire TF1 5HW to fulfil its obligations as a responsible Company by ensuring the points in the petition below are carried out.
Since Greenway has taken over the site from the Company known as Pink Skips, the condition of the roads, grass verges and rubbish within the area has deteriorated dramatically. Large amounts of rubbish are blown from the site onto the hedgerows, grass verges and residents property in the area.
The volume of Large Lorries travelling too and from the site has also increased dramatically, parking on the road causing an obstruction to pedestrians and motorists. Often pedestrians will have to walk into the road to pass the obstruction. This poses a Health and Safety risk.
With the increased amount of traffic the road condition on Rock Road has also deteriorated. There are a significant amount of Pot Holes in areas, the speed bumps are crumbling and the top surface of the road in large stretches has been removed. Surely the road is not made for this kind of heavy Traffic?, 50 lorries in and 50 lorries out during a 12 hour period cannot be right!
Lorries are also parking overnight and discarding bottles of urine around the area.
The site itself from the outside looks leaves a lot to be desired and not an advertisement either for the Company or the surrounding area. This could be significantly improved by planting or screening.
This petition is to improve the infrastructure around the site and improve the environment and quality of the lives of everyone around the site and visiting the area.

We petition Telford Council and the company known as Greenway based on Rock Road Ketley Shropshire TF1 5HW to improve:-
1. The condition of the roads leading both ways to the site along Rock Road. (Mainly due to the volume of Large lorries visiting and exiting the site);
2. Ensure that the roads and surrounding road signs are kept clean (Mainly due to the volume of Large lorries visiting and exiting the site), this directly effects peoples property in the area, because of the dust and mud.
3. Ensure that the surrounding area is kept litter free and that Rubbish patrols are regularly conducted (This is a direct result of rubbish being blown from the site, which lands on the road, grass verges and footpaths or peoples property);
4. Ensure that lorries visiting the site can not park up on the road or footpaths either during the day or overnight (This causes a Health and Safety risk for both pedestrians, who have to walk into the road to pass and also drivers);
5. Ensure the Grass verges leading up to the site are kept presentable and in good condition.
6. Improve the visual appearance of the site from the road either by planting or screening.
7. Ensure that all pest controls are in place and in accordance with Environmental Procedures.
8. Ensure that regular Inspections are carried out to ensure all the above points are being carried out.
