The Central Coast Cricket Association has chosen to play a mixture of One and Two day cricket in the upcoming 2017/18 competition. This decision was made at a delegates meetings in the last week where delegates from each club were asked to vote on a format for the upcoming competition.
This format has been in use for a number of seasons and has created problems with player numbers, team consistency and players especially the younger ones regularly not getting to improve both skill sets required in the game.
(Batting/Bowling).
Weather almost always plays havoc with the current format with games being rained off and some teams in the extreme may not get to bat or bowl for 3 weeks. These statistics are readily available for perusal on the Mycricket site.
One Day Cricket would enable more consistency in teams and also allow some of the Older cricketers who struggle with two day cricket to remain in the game and play each week. Players who are not available every Saturday would also have the opportunity to play some cricket fixing a lot of shortfalls in numbers. This format would also enable junior cricketers playing Senior Cricket to contribute to the game as often restrictions turn them into fill in fielders. Which more often than not loses them from the game.

We the undersigned call on the Central Coast Cricket Association to implement and oversee the development of a One Day Cricket Competition in the upcoming 2017/18 competition.
