Friends of Logan Community Dog Park

This petition is intended to show how many people are interested in establishing an appropriate off leash Dog Park area in Cache Valley designed specifically to accommodate dogs and their owners. Secondary use as an area designed for animals (specifically dogs & cats) in the region’s Emergency Operations Preparedness Plan. Currently there isn’t an animal component plan in place within the county or city.

While we are primarily interested in the views of Logan City residents, we welcome our neighbors in adjoining communities to join us in this discussion. You certainly don't need to own a dog to sign this but we would like to know how many dogs and owners in Logan are in need of an appropriate place to meet.

Providing an appropriate off leash Dog Park promotes responsible dog ownership. This makes for a better community by supporting public health and safety. A Dog Park allows the dogs to socialize and get the exercise and playtime that is not possible while they are on a leash. As dog owners, we know how important this is for the dog’s well being. It also gives dog owners a chance to meet other dog owners and build a sense of community by sharing information while monitoring the dog’s interaction.
