Free Judge Einfeld

Judge Einfeld was caught by a speeding camera doing 10ks over the limit copped a $75 fine and loss of demerit points, then lied about the fact that is was him driving to “save face”. His sentence? 3 years in jail. A lady who was high, drunk and speeding on her way to see her probation officer drives on the footpath and kills two beautiful boys gets 10 for both murders but will be out in 8. That is 4 years for each child and a Judge, because he is a judge gets one year less for a little white lie. Because he was a judge he has to serve that sentence in “protective custody” costing us god knows how many tens of thousands of tax payers money.

This is NOT, a jailable offence. The punishment does not fit the crime. Sure, hurt him where it hurts, his pocket, make him build a huge playground for the underprivileged children, put him on a good behaviour bond... whatever........ but he DOES NOT deserve to serve jail sentence for any length of time. Jails should be reserved for people who are a danger to society, NOT for 70 year old judges who make a stupid mistake.

If you agree that this is NOT a jail able offence, and the punishment DOES NOT fit the crime and you the taxpayer should not be paying for his incarceration for the next 3 years, vote now to free the judge.
