Fix our School System

We the parents are tired of sitting back and watching our children's education system lack all necessary requirements. In the event of Rockfish elementary school of Hoke county losing their air conditioning and sending home letters to the parents informing us that this situation will be resolved in the spring. This is absurd.

As I have walked into this public building every morning and imagining these children having to focus, obtain, and do their best as a student in these conditions, the situation is not acceptable. Students have medical issues that do not need to be provoked by sitting in a classroom at 90° all day.

Students are coming home sick after having no air ventilation, and any way for the air to be filtered. The concerns we are having for our children are very alarming. The education lottery is supposed to be helping in situations as such, but instead of fixing the schools, building new schools, or even putting a percent of the lottery funds to where they are supposed to go, the upper scum are sitting on their behinds collecting this money instead of fixing our children's schools and MANY other schools that need issues handled.

Not only are our children having no choice but to sit in this nasty, hot, uncomfortable, illness infested rooms, our under paid teachers (some are with child) are there as well. This condition is unacceptable. I have donated fans, and working on others doing the same, but as a tax payer that pays for my son's education, I shouldn't have to do this.

As we sign this form, we are American people standing for our children and not taking No for an answer. This situation will get resolved before we have to start suing the city for allowing such inhumane conditions for our children.
