On Friday, June 8, 2017, the parents and families of St. Casimir School received an e-mail from our principal, Mrs. Renata Gajardo, informing us that it was her last day as principal of St. Casimir, as she had been terminated by the school because of unfounded complaints and accusations. To date, we have not received any other communication from the school, Father Malagon (who the Diocese informed us was responsible for the decision), or the diocese itself. The only communication from the school to our children was given at mass Friday morning by Father in a very abrupt way that left many children confused and upset.
We the parents of St. Casimir ask the diocese to review this situation, hear our voices, and support us the way we have supported the school for many years! We, as parents, want our principal back and feel she deserves the opportunity to defend herself of these allegations. Should they be false, those responsible for the false accusations should be investigated as well. How can we call ourselves Catholics and Christians if we allow this type of injustice to stand!
