My application of the Early Years Capital grant was in unsuccessful. This grant would have provided for an extension to the building which in turn will have provided additional Free childcare places. The building would have been modernized with appropriate lightning and heating. The grant included a wide range of new play equipment and furniture. My childcare service has an excellent reputation and is a valued service with in the Hartstown/Huntstown area. Unfortunately,due to the small size of the premises, on a yearly basis, many families are left disappointed as they cannot be offered a place. As it is such a small service,the profit is very low and this is a project that I could never afford to fund myself.
My child attends/is on the waiting list for Little Sparrows Preschool.
We ask you to kindly reconsider their application for the EYC grant which will provide much needed additional childcare places. Little Sparrow's Preschool has an excellent reputation and is a valued service within the Huntstown/Hartstown area. Unfortunately,ever year many families cannot be offered a place due to the small size of the premises.
Approval of this grant will enhance the well being of the children and the existing child led service of Little Sparrows Preschool
