As hard working mothers, we demand that you stop creating and displaying unrealistic expectations of what you believe a mother, grandmother, and child should be.
Mothers shouldn’t have to mold to society’s unrealistic ideal of what a perfect mother should be. The “perfect mother” status was created by other people and we disagree with the current image that is being presented to us daily.
The media invades our homes and lives with their false ideas about moms. No matter what you watch or hear, the same message is being sold to us day in and day out.
Media companies and broadcasting companies have the power to stop unrealistic expectations by changing their scripts and choosing actors that look more like everyday Moms, and not some Hollywood actor that looks and acts perfect in every single way.
Let’s face it, when it comes to reality not every mother drives a fancy car, lives in a perfectly clean house, has a perfect body despite having a few kids, and wears the perfect outfit every single day, all while juggling their lives. The expectations and standards are just too unrealistic.
We have a plan to change the way mothers are portrayed in the media.
By increasing awareness on this subject and causing the REAL mothers of today to pressure media companies, and pushing for more realistic views of mothers, grandmothers, and children, we can help end unrealistic Mom expectations.
