Child poverty in Ontario alone is a horrific grievance to the province. The government of Ontario should take action to benefit those in need and get these children off the street into better support systems including more funding for education, shelters, food banks and a better system of social support.
These are our people, our future, and it’s only fair that they are entitled to one.
Due to the failure of the government of Ontario’s promise to eliminate child poverty by the year 2000, Ontario alone has become the capital of child poverty in Canada.
Today, 44 percent (more than 800,000) of Ontario’s future is left without a roof over their head, food in their belly, and the basic necessities of life.
It’s time for a change, it’s time for the government to stick to their word, and eliminate child poverty in Ontario for good.
