As you are aware the second years are due to write our PGED exam on Wednesday afternoon due to them being postponed as a result of the taxi protests, and here we sit with another dilemma.

I understand that the protests are not in any of our control, but it is affecting our academics and this constant postponement of exams is not encouraging and is extremely disruptive.

It has come to the groups attention that this subject will not be examined on in the years to come, and so due to the workload and disruptions, we urge the faulty to find an alternative way in which we can obtain our final marks this year for the subject.

I understand that this is not the only exam scheduled to be written , but the fact remains that for next year it will not be an examinable module, and that should count for something. It is not fair to make us go through this stress for something that will all be null and void next year.

There are more than enough tests that were written and can be used to work out a mark, DP's as final marks would also be accepted by a majority. Perhaps this route would be beneficial and less stressful for all concerned.

I sincerely hope that in the midst of the chaos, you will hear the voice of a group of students who only wish to move on this semester with no stress. Please do the fair and just thing and allow us to move on with our education.

We aren't the ones protesting.
