We demand that countries such as North Korea, China, Vietnam and Cuba have digital rights extended upon them.

Citizens of these countries don’t have any digital rights. These citizens need digital rights so that they can have a better digital experience and roam the internet more freely.

Drawing up a basic Digital Bill of Rights for these citizens will ensure they receive these rights and ensure that their digital rights will not be violated. These citizens currently have no rights. Providing them with digital rights will ensure that they are safe on the internet and encourage them to become more digital. This will lead to development in many ways. Digital rights and responsibilities should be extended to all technology users and this is why it is unethical not to provide citizens with these rights.

Providing these citizens with digital rights will not only allow them to use technology freely, but will also help them to learn how to use technology and the various online media platforms that are available to them. This will result in citizens having a larger access to information and thus providing them with greater development opportunities.

All citizens of the world should be free to use technology and have access to it. They should also be aware and utilise their digital rights and responsibilities.
