The residents of University Park, Illinois issue is our water rates at the beginning of 2018 will increase a whooping 30% or more. This increase will stop resident and economic growth and will cause residents to move to neighboring communities because they cannot afford the increase in utility expense. This utility increase will hurt the residents and a up coming tax levy that will hurt the pockets of our residents because of heavy liabilities owed to creditors from the Village of University Park, Illinois. Our other concern is the $30 million dollar expenditure Aqua is paying for this pipeline project and what other communities are and will be able to benefit from this and will the other communities share in the cost for this project or is it only University Park, Illinois residents. I will like to see strength in numbers from our community and develop signatures to ask the ICC and Lisa Madigan's office to investigate more and find out is Aqua, Illinois asking only the residents of University Park, Illinois. WE CANNOT WAIT AND COMPLAIN AFTER THIS ACTION TAKES EFFECT, WE HAVE TO START NOW!
We the undersigned, call on the Illinois Commerce Commission, Attorney General Lisa Madigan Office and Will county to eliminate and investigate this increase of the University Park, Illinois residents water bill rate.
