Most persons cannot take days off and usually plan their time off around the National carnival parade. Not only have my revellers complained about the need to change the days of Vieux Fort carnival but other interested persons as well.
So here I dare ask, Should Vieux Fort Carnival Parade days change from a Sunday/Monday carnival to a weekend carnival Saturday/Sunday to encourage better participation from people outside Vieux Fort only?
As it stands the festival is losing support annually and the failure to recognise this is failing the event.
We the undersigned ask that the committee subsequent to this petition change the days for the carnival festival to ensure its longevity and marketability.
