There are no traffic calming measures in the residential area of Byron's Lane, Macclesfield, not even a 30 mph speed limit sign. Motorists regularly exceed 30 mph and there have been a few incidents in the last few years which have endangered both pedestrians and also Byron's Lane residents. Some incidents have resulted in damage to property.
In order to ensure that further incidents are minimised, we believe that traffic calming measures need to be put in place.
